A BIO-ENTREPRENEURIAL TEAM WITH AN INTERNATIONAL TRACK RECORD IN THE LIFE SCIENCE ARENA
Life Science startups are unique opportunities that require years of development, extensive scientific expertise and significant investments. Successful companies improve millions of lives and produce high returns for investors. These high returns inevitably go hand in hand with high risk and high development costs.
The Accelerace team reduces that risk by providing relevant commercial and strategic input based on experience and discussions with their extensive network. This allows you to focus on the critical issues to develop and de-risk your project. We provide customized support and sparring for our founders based on the team’s collective bio-entrepreneurial experience. This is combined with a set of proven coaching tools and techniques which were built by founders for founders.
Our aim is to help establish your company while supplying on the job training that will provide you with the skills needed to support the company’s continued growth.
Once Accelerace has assisted you in defining a clear de-risking path, we are able to offer a longer-term strategic advice option via the Nordic Mentor Network for Entrepreneurship (NOME) which provides selected startups access to world-class mentorship.

Our startups not only get the opportunity to shape their businesses in the accelerator, the most promising ones even have the chance to join the NOME network. Nordic Mentor Network for Entrepreneurship (NOME) is a mentoring program with world-class mentors which matches Nordic projects and startups with highly skilled volunteer professionals to help them reach their goals and technology milestones.
As a part of the program, NOME also provides a unique platform for startups to participate in a boot camp in the US. There, the projects get access to FDA experts and contacts to on-site representatives. With inspiration from MIT Venture Mentoring Service, the vision of NOME is to develop and implement a best-in-class mentoring initiative that will propel the Nordic countries into one of the leading life science regions to commercialize high growth life science startups.

Jón Ingi Benediktsson
Philosophically he is an anti-fragile stoic who believes in doing the really small things in life and one day hopes to become a Zen master of the high risks-high impact game of start-ups. Professionally he has focused on the establishment of new bio-business ventures with core capabilities in problem-solving, business intelligence and predictive analytics. Intellectually he is interested in the potential of Synthetic Biology, Behavioural Psychology, and Machine Learning.
His hobbies would include rock climbing, mountain biking, and whitewater kayaking but the nearest mountains are 500 km away, so jokes on him. If you have any tough/urgent problems that you think Will would enjoy please send them to him at firstname.lastname@example.org You can also follow his process on Linkedin to see what he been up to and if he knows anyone who could be of help in your venture.
At the Novo Nordisk Foundation, we are very pleased with the Nordic Mentor Network for Entrepreneurship (NOME) that Accelerace has established over the last year. Today NOME covers the entire Nordic region including life science start-ups from all Nordic countries and several high-level mentors in the network. NOME is surely on its way to become the beacon in the ecosystem that we had hoped for from the very beginning.
