2015-01-30

11 fast growing startups pitched their unique business idea at Accelerace Investor Day on January 29th held at Docken in Copenhagen. The event gathered startups, investors and alumni companies for an evening of great pitches, networking & deal flow. Brain+ won Accelerace Investor Day and Bookingabus.com was runner up.

Brain+ won Investor Day with an impressive pitch presentation about their new brain training app solution that enhance general cognitive performance, prevents a decline in cognitive ability due to aging and the app can assist in rehabilitation of cognitive ability lost due to brain damage. Bookingabus.com came in second with their online buss rental platform which is the first in Europe to provide instant pricing and domestic transports.

Prior to Investor Day, the startups completed the 5-month Accelerace business accelerator program which offers valuable learning experiences from camps and events and guidance from experienced business accelerators and consultants. Investor Day celebrates the Accelerace companies by selecting a noteworthy group to pitch to Danish investors. This year’s Investor Day also included two startups (Buying Butler & EasyPreOrders) from our UK accelerator program Next Business Generation.

The Investor Day event was held in Docken in Copenhagen and gathered the entire Danish investment community with more than 200 participants for a series of 11 intense, 7-minute startup pitches and lots of networking.

The 11 pitching companies at Investor Day were: Begravelsesguiden.dk, Bookingabus.com, By Falengreen, Buying Butler, Brain+, Open Telehealth, Fibrenetrix, Greenticket, SUMA Care, Absolute SLS & EasyPreOrders.

The companies were judged on a variety of criteria including their business opportunities, team, recent performance, growth potential and competitive advantages. The winners were selected by the audience.
